After 8 years of Negotiations, the PACER Plus agreement has finally been signed. Solomon Islands delegation headed by Hon. Milner Tozaka expressed its sincere appreciation to all Forum Island Countries (FIC) and Australia and New Zealand for showing necessary commitment towards the process for the last 8 years.

Minister Tozaka was concluding his one week RSE Minister visit in New Zealand when he met with Minister McCully.

Three Solomon Islands companies are in Auckland, New Zealand to participate in the Pacific Path to Market Trade Mission from 23-30 March 2017. The programme is organised by the Pacific Trade and Invest (PT&I). The Solomon Islands companies are among 23 Businesses from other Pacific Island countries who attended the event. Those countries attending the event include, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Palau and the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

The Solomon Islands High Commissioner to New Zealand, Her Excellency, Mrs Joy Kere acknowledged the New Zealand government for its support towards the establishment of the RSE websites. The launching of the RSE website was held on Tuesday 21st March 2017, in Wellington, New Zealand.
