The Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Jeremiah Manele is in Busan, South Korea to attend the 5th Korea – Pacific Islands Foreign Ministers Meeting. This is the 5th Meeting between the Republic of Korea and Pacific Island Forum countries. The first meeting was held in Seoul in 2011. This will be the first face to face meeting between the Republic of Korea and Pacific Island Countries since 2021 when the meeting was held virtually during the pandemic

A health team from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services has conducted an awareness program for staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade on breast cancer.The hour-long awareness was held at the MFAET head office in Honiara on Thursday 20th October 2022.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the MFAET office on Thursday (20th October 2022) between Australia’s High Commissioner, Dr Lachlan Strahan and the Commissioner of Lands, Alan Mcneil signifying the formalization of work to swap the current land housing the Australian High Commission at Hibiscus Avenue with a government land at Lengakiki.
